GA firefighter develops software program for emergency services that may potentially save lives.

GWINNETT COUNTY, Georgia, December 10, 2009 -- Local firefighter, Alex Griffin has developed a new software program for emergency services including EMS, fire departments and S.W.A.T. teams that is gaining interest across the United States and abroad. He has created an affordable digital command board that improves safety and allows commanders to manage most any emergency event easily and efficiently despite decreased manpower.

The software can simply be downloaded onto the computer in the commander's vehicle allowing him or her to organize an entire scene without leaving the driver’s seat. It replaces the old, white magnetic boards, excel spreadsheets, and notebook paper many departments still use and ushers the emergency services into the 21st century with its cutting edge technology and unique touch screen capability.

This digital command board is a complete personnel accountability system. It records how many victims have been located and extricated and the location of all personnel at all times which improves the safety of all at work and those they protect. Commanders have the option to select attack type, select benchmarks and assign units to an emergency event. They can print reports, draw out a scene on the sketch pad, monitor how long a given crew has been at work and the amount of time spent in recovery. It even keeps track of mutual aid. The par button is an audible reminder of tasks and times. Additionally, LFG Command Systems tailors each command board to the needs of each individual department.
